Cristiano Ronaldo was not included in the top 50 best football players of 2022 according to The Guardian.
The English publication began publishing its top 100 best players of the past year. At the moment, the names of the players who took places from 41st to 100th are known. The full rankings will be published on Friday. The following players are ahead of Ronaldo on this list:
41. Joshua Kimmich (Bayern);
42. David Alaba (Real Madrid);
43. Yassin Bounou (Seville);
44. Ruben Dias (Manchester City);
45. Aurelien Tchouameni (Real Madrid);
46. Theo Hernandez (Milan);
47. Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton);
48. Rodrigo De Paul (Atletico);
49. Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina);
50. Cody Gakpo (Liverpool).
Note that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen took 52nd place, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson - 54th, Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger - 56th, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford - 58th.
Liverpool players Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold took 59th and 60th places respectively, Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele was 69th, Manchester United defender Raphael Varane was 85th, Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong was 89th, and Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer - 91st.
